Repair and dry-dock questions
Dry-dock superintendence is the planning and oversight of a vessel’s yard period: specifying the work, coordinating the yard and contractors, and checking quality and progress until undocking. It is part of technical ship management from Nanak Ship Management, alongside planned maintenance and Class and Flag State compliance.
Yes. Certified riding repair squads can board at anchor or en route to carry out overhauls and renewals without waiting for port. Ask Nanak Ship Management with your vessel type, position and the work required, and the team will advise on scope and timing.
A planned maintenance system (PMS) schedules inspections and overhauls so machinery stays reliable and surveys are met on time. It is a core part of technical ship management and supports machinery reliability and fuel diagnostics.
Yes. International labour supply includes certified welders (6G, TIG and MIG), electricians and structural fitters supplied from India, so repair jobs have the right trades on site.
Repairs and renewals must satisfy Class and Flag State rules, so surveys and approvals are planned with the work. Flag State and Class liaison is part of the Nanak Ship Management service range.
Send the vessel type, location, the work required and your target dates through the enquiry builder on this site or contact Nanak Ship Management operations on +91 98920 82041. Operations dispatch runs around the clock.
03 · Audits
Survey and audit questions
A pre-purchase vessel audit is an independent technical inspection carried out before you buy a ship, covering hull, machinery, records and class status so you can negotiate on facts. It is offered by Nanak Ship Management as part of its technical services.
A technical audit sets a baseline for the vessel: condition of hull and machinery, maintenance records, safety equipment and compliance status. It is also the first phase of the Nanak Ship Management lifecycle, followed by crew mobilisation, voyage execution and lifecycle oversight.
Buyers, charterers and owners taking over management should commission an audit before committing to a purchase or contract. Contact Nanak Ship Management with the vessel details to discuss scope, access and timing.
IMO DCS data collection and carbon intensity (CII) tracking are part of modern fuel and emissions reporting, and records are reviewed in a technical audit. Nanak Ship Management lists IMO DCS, SEEMP Part III and CII tracking among its technical management standards.
Yes. Safety courses such as Enclosed Space Entry at the Nanak Shipping Institute prepare people for work in tanks and confined spaces that audits often involve.
Call +91 98920 82041 or use the enquiry builder on this site with the vessel type, location and purpose, and Nanak Ship Management will respond with the scope, timing and next steps.
04 · Spares
Spares and procurement questions
Spares and marine procurement is part of the Nanak Ship Management service range, supporting vessels with the parts and stores needed for planned maintenance, repairs and dry-docking.
A planned maintenance system shows which parts will be needed and when, so procurement can be scheduled before a job starts. This is part of technical ship management.
Yes. Dry-dock superintendence includes planning the work list, and parts and materials are ordered against that list so the yard period is not delayed. See Nanak Ship Management services.
Class and Flag State liaison is part of the service, so documentation and approvals are handled alongside procurement. Ask Nanak Ship Management for the specifics of your vessel.
Call +91 98920 82041 and ask for operations; Nanak Ship Management runs 24/7 operations dispatch, so urgent requirements for spares, repair squads or skilled labour reach a person who can act straight away.
Yes. Riding repair squads and skilled labour supply cover fitting and installation, including welders, electricians and fitters, so parts can be installed at anchor, alongside or in dry-dock without waiting for separate contractors.
05 · Workforce
Workforce questions
International labour supply from Nanak Ship Management includes certified electricians, welders (6G, TIG and MIG), structural fitters and skilled and general helpers, supplied from India.
Crew management covers STCW and MLC-aligned manning, credential vetting (Continuous Discharge Certificates, references and medicals), training, welfare, travel logistics and payroll, so one team looks after a seafarer from selection to joining and through the contract.
Credentials are checked before joining, including Continuous Discharge Certificates, references and medicals under MLC 2006. Ask Nanak Ship Management for the process for your trade.
Nanak Ship Management quotes an onboarding timeline of 14 to 30 days, depending on Class status and location. Contact the operations team for your project.
Yes. The Nanak Shipping Institute offers 200+ maritime and safety courses, including Enclosed Space Entry, Engine Room Resource Management and Leadership and Human Element, so workers can be trained before they are deployed.
Tell Nanak Ship Management the vessel type, ranks or trades, numbers and start date, or use the enquiry builder on this site, and the operations team will confirm availability and the mobilisation timeline.
